Nice decor, beer in good nick, food is nice but the pub is lacking soul

Staying at the Elvetham Hotel and asked for a decent pub for food. Short drive into Fleet. Surprised that you have to pay to park, but you do get a refund. Very smart place and friendly bar staff. Timothy Taylor Landlord was as good as anywhere in the country. Food was OK - a little on the pricy side. Nice place.

Still an M&B pub but not under the Ember Inn brand;now a fine country dining pub. Still settling down and the jury is still out on whether it will succeed in Fleet.

In here last Saturday and it didn't seam like an Ember Inn to me.
I have since checked out the Ember Inn website and that confirmed that this is NOT an Ember Inn.
I had a average pint of Broadsord for 3.25.
Drink and food prices in excess of what you would pay in an Ember Inn

An Ember Inn pub. Roll out the red carpets. Decent pub with a food orientated feel.
