Love the last review.

Went off to find Terry. Lots of dogs, but no sign.

I thought I knew Worcestershire but on spotting this in the GBG, I had no idea where it is. Turns out its less than 10 miles from where I live.

So a walk and a pint. Very remote, yet strangely packed place. 7pm on a Wednesday and we had the last of the traditional wooden tables, next to the hugelog burner.

Wye Valley Butty Bach in superb condition.

This is a lovely traditional pub - however our visit was marred by an incredibly arrogant and rude barman - if he had not starting pouring our drinks we would have walked out of there. Initially he blanked us (I can only assume as we were not locals) he then completely ignored my girlfriend when she asked him the name of the pubs dog - the second time she asked the question he then told us the dog was called Terry, my girlfriend continued to fuss the dog, until we later found out that he was called Jojo, and he had just lied to us - for not reason whatsoever (the barman not the dog)

We have however ratde this pub at a 7 - had we had left any sooner, it likely would have been a 2/3. However, the saving grace of this pub was the land lady herself, who came into the pub a little later on, and whom was incredibly pleasant, there were also a number of locals that came in who were all very friendly and chatty - had we have received this welcome initially the pub would have easily ranked at a 9/10 - however the initial greeting to the pub was a disgrace, I have no idea why anyone would work in a pub if their people skills were so poorly lacking

real country pub this one. Set in the middle of nowhere on a common. Good beer and a small bar, which had at least 6 different dogs in when we visited.
Worth writing home about
