I thought this was supposed to be a restaurant.Had an excellent meal there about 15 months ago and returned for more of the same.Could only see one couple eating a "meal" while the remainder of people in there were snacking on "bar meals".
10pm brought the reason for this as people piled in, in search of a late night drinking den.
Wny not revamp this place as a cafe/bar rather than luring people in with the promise of a decent feed.
Used to be family friendly but presumably this has gone for a burton too

After my compaint about the fiver for entry we decided to visit again, it is free entry before 10pm.

Even so I received RUBBISH service. I took the missus here on the evening of Friday 26th November. I set up a tab and we sat in the window - they have redone the bar area so at least you can sit down in comfort and have a drink now.

I went to get another round in but the dopey barmaids were so useless at spotting me at the end of the bar waving my hands to get their attention (it wasn't busy). After 8 minutes I managed to get the attention of one of them so took this opportunity to pay and leave. I dare say I shall not be returning soon. Well done Jamfish for turning away a customer - it's you that's losing out not me.

ok a fiver to get is annoying and the drinks are a bit expensive BUT IT KEEPS THE SCALLS OUT! if you dont like it, go get stabbed in the litten tree! this is the only decent late opening place on a friday night - the music is usually great, decks etc. and it has a 'youthful' atmosphere - though it is best when people are back from uni if you like that sort of thing (the OAPs in Clarinz are desperate to BE the kids that come here!). its not too far to walk down from the griffin and the staff are AMAZING, particularly the ginger one, number please ... !

Went to Jamfish on Saturday evening, I saw the sign outside that read "Live Jazz" I thought OK. It was 5 pounds to get in, it was empty. I wanted to have one social pint there, the place was empty and we didn't go in, making empty still, for a fiver on the door they lost out on a fiver or two at the bar. Silly management really. This place started well, I have fond memories of it being a good place to go with the bands they had on and the friendly staff. But it's changed for the worst and aliented the missus and I and no doubt hundreds like us. This place won't last much longer.
