Serious beer sold at a pub that's neither stuffy nor fawning. Cheerful Sunday service and great beers. I had two Forest Darks and a Crop Circle, partner had a Dorset Gold (or two). Despite the hot day, the beers were spot on temp wise and well kept. Churt is off the beaten track but this is a pub well worth walking to from Haslemere (7 miles). No food on Sunday though (pork pies, scotch eggs wouldn't be a bad idea, with mustard/pickles)

We've live near here for a year and accidentally missed this. What a shame. But what a treat. This not a modern gastro-pub. This is a simple drinking pub. But with the best selection of beers I have seen in ages. Nice staff and a really good pint.
Come here to drink good beer. I shall.

A splendid pub that sadly I haven't had opportunity to get to since 2006. A range of well-kept, mostly loca-ales on pump, with a series of cask ciders on stillage behind. A real honest, two-bar, earthy but welcoming boozer that just happens to specialise in quality beer and cider. There are a few houses worthy of attention here but this is surely one of the priority pubs one should head for if in the area. Poor you if you happen to have a car although it shouldn't preclude a couple of sensible 'alves!

good selection of ciders- served in a ladies glass for us femaels would make it even better.....using lager galsses with advertising does not quite 'cut it' ...
only 1 loo and not in very good working order !- lets it down.
