So Shorty, you have been to many pubs in Guildford but the ONLY review you have ever left is this one....hmmmmmm.......next! beergibbon - 5 Aug 2009 14:47 |
I have never laughed so much at some of these comments. Most are blatantly written by people who haven't been to this pub in years! I visit alot of pubs in Guildford, but this is by far the most friendly. The staff are fantastic and the regulars are welcoming. It's perfect for a quiet drink during the day and very lively in the evenings at weekends. The food is fab and at a very good price. It is also homemade, which very few pubs can claim these days. The landlady has worked hard to turn this pub around and has done a damn good job!!! shorty - 8 Jun 2009 19:50 |
Graham78 it`s all gone quiet after the landlady shouted at us,i do hope the dart & pool teams are up and running now and theres not too much swinging going on (in the trees i mean) !! Happy new year. Beersupper - 31 Dec 2008 16:25 |
I went in recently on a Sunday evening as the Astolat is closed at the moment. It wasn't my first choice destination, but I had heard some positive things about the change over from The Weavers. It seemed OK, but I only stayed for a pint as I was driving. If you're looking for a period building, with bags of character in a bucolic setting, look elsewhere. If you're looking a for a pint, there are worse places to go. There are also better, but I've known worse. Looking forward to the ongoing wrangle between graham78 and the BITE world. onslowresident - 22 Nov 2008 17:04 |
