We're the staff here shown how to clean glasses by the Ashton under lyne wetherspoons staff? Both me and my dad had dirty glasses. This pub has a cask marque certificate but isn't shown on the app, could it have lost it due to this problem? Quite a small wetherspoons but a good drinking area outside but very close to a busy roundabout. Caskales - 17 Jun 2014 15:51 |
Typical spoons pub lots of real ales on and some american beers had something to eat but i did not think it was as good as some other spoons pubs ive visited but all in all not a bad pub next to a very busy road traffic non stop ... tench1230 - 21 Oct 2013 11:05 |
Typical spoons pub with loads of real ales i opted for October zest [ i think] Was reasonable. Could do with better seating i went to what looked like a family part of the pub at first but i felt like i was back at school with the cheap kitchen tables. Tried to get one of the more comfortable looking tables with bar stools but there were only around a dozen and they were all taken. Ended up on an old couch next to the door. Could do better with better seating as a start westminster - 11 Oct 2011 20:37 |
Average Spoons next to a busy main road. Inside its been tastefully decorated making it quite light & airy. Choice of real ales was bland & seemed more expensive than other Wetherspoons. Outside the beer garden is a suntrap, but it is spoiled by the tables which are packed next to each other in unimaginative rows. happytyskie - 27 Aug 2011 08:35 |
i used to work at this pub. but i have diferent memories than the rest of the staff that i recognise on this paige. i was once told by my superviser (who stil works there today) that my til was down by 20. i was told to make it ballence by the end of my shift. when i asked how, she replyed "short change everyone, if the till is up, we get a better bonus." i also remember going to take some food out one day. the cook went to pass me the meal and droped the steak on the floor. he imedietley picked it up of the floor, dusted it down and tryed to serve it. i was then given disiplinery action for refusing to take the order out.this about summs up how that pub is ran. all the staff from thiese horror stories are stil there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! oldhalllandlord - 6 Dec 2010 13:04 |
