Closed down now, some time in 2016. Surprising it kept going so long considering the Cumberland is almost next door but I suppose they serve different customer bases.

After several years, I decided to give this bar another chance. It was even worse than I remembered. Loud, shouty locals, toilets that stank, beer that was almost undrinkable and TVs blaring in every corner - all showing different things. Avoid.

Looked good from the outside, advertising Greene King IPA for 1.99 but they don't even have it :-( No real ales at all.

makes a pleasant change to find a pub that doesnt pander to the normal office/posh crowd in this area. beer wasnt cheap but the atmosphere is relaxed and not full of people complaining about late food or nowhere to sit.

hey, i like 'rough' pubs :) this is the kind of pub that needs support otherwise we'll be left with cut-and-paste chain establishments offering the same drinks/food - variety is good.

We've lived in the area for a few years and always avoided the place based on its outside appearance - don't judge a book by its' cover!!
I've never known a pub where you can get to know so many people so quickly - they're all unpretentious and open (rare in West Kensington pubs).
Although the pub can get 'lively' at times, it's all part of the entertainment in a place which is never the same two nights in a row.
The management has recently changed but the friendly bar staff remain.
