This Pub has changed Management ,and is now being run by a Professionally Trained and Well Qualified Couple. Beer Quality is Top Priority now,and Rachel and Simon are both keen Cellarmen...........persons.......people!!!!(can't do this PC crap). They are putting 'The Shepherds'back on the map-with trade increasing week -by- week. They also care about their Customers and are building a strong Local Following in the town;and most important of all-they don't tolerate 'Idiots,Morons, Mongs etc, making the pub a safer place for a good night out without having to worry about 'making eye contact 'with 'Dickhead'. Enjoy!!!!!!!

probably the worst of the Timothy Taylors outlets.

Clean, bright, big, loud and during the afternoon happy 'hour' Golden Best was 1.50 a pint! It is a Timmy Taylors managed house, and it will not suit many Camra traditionalists, and I can't stand big screen Sky, but it is a brave attempt by TT to broaden their appeal. They also do food but have heard no comments about it.

best pub in colne for me. sport is always on the flat screens day or night and staff are generally friendly. beer is average quality and fairly priced. disco on fri/sat/sunday nights before people head over to the Union.
