| Having experienced the Pub through various landlords/landladies I think that making it a carvery was a good idea. As already said it does exactly what it states on the box. Food is okay, beer is good and the staff are friendly. The type of place I might go to after that Saturday night to refuel and avoid cooking. What I do like is being able to mix and match, order a starter from the menu, hit the carvery and finish with a pudding. It was never going to be a fine dining restaurant. Thumbs up. | Thought we'd try out the "all new" Pheasant, after it's recent refurbishment and re-branding as a "Carvery Pub". In a nutshell, it does what it says on the tin. A decent carvery meal at a very reasoable price, with a reasonable selection of beers to wash the food down with. You probably wouldn't choose it as a romantic meal for two venue, but if you want a decent roast with the family it will tick all the boxes. CalneBlueBird - 4 Mar 2012 19:35 |
