Beer OK, atmosphere spoiled by large stag party with raucous singing etc who bar staff did noting to control Aztecgoat - 4 Dec 2016 09:55 |
Not even really a proper pub. Bit of a hotel chain bar feel. Rude staff. Bad, expensive ale. Guess its location means it'll always get plenty of post-office drinkers, but there is no other reason to go here. Beer_in_the_morning - 18 Sep 2012 22:23 |
Visited last night for an early retirement do. Nothing special about this place and dark, dingy and hot at the back end! It's a Greene King pub but I noticed Mean Time London Pale Ale, which didn't taste at all good so I switched to London Glory which was ok. Later on someone got me the Mean Time again by accident and it was lovely (assume a barrel change?) so I stuck with it. The spread of food was bland at best and the manageress rather surly and by my reckoning partial to munching on the odd rug... beer_monster_smudge - 1 Sep 2011 08:45 |
A very average Pub with no character. But dont let that put you off. In an area where pretentious, cramped and expensive watering holes are the norm this is more reminiscent of the average high street bar, the drinks arent cheap but not at City prices either. I have drunk here on and off for several years and in my opinion its the best of the three in this area. It had a partial refurb in January 2011. B+ for effort. SirTricky - 24 Feb 2011 16:41 |
