The Cottage Inn, Bristol

Went here with my son. The Barman thought we had waited too long for our meal so gave us a free desert. Chocolat Fudge Cake with cream. My son was over the moon. Nice touch indeed! Good food and decent beer. Will go again.

The Rattlebone Inn and Restaurant, Sherston

Although not a Young's fan this is still a good pub selling nice food. Not cheap.

The Weighbridge, Nailsworth

Dropped in here on a Sunday lunchtime while on a bike ride. I had a pie which was really tasty. Had Uley Old Spot beer which was really good too. Not a cheap place but would definitely go here again.

The Sportsmans Inn, Hemborough Post

Visited two nights consecutively with my wife and three children on a visit to Woodlands. Every meal both nights was excellent and good value for the area. Beer very good too.

New Inn, Mayshill, Frampton Cotterell

Really this is a food pub selling good portions at decent value. Otter bitter was pretty good too!

The Malt Shovel Inn, Oswaldkirk

Good Sam Smiths which was unbelievably cheap. Food was ok and good value too. Interesting interior and nice looking garden.

The Theakstons was ok. Food was ok for quality but a bit lacking in quantity. Atmosphere was good tho.

The Grosvenor Hotel, Whitby

Wasn't sure about this place when i went in but the beer was good and the food excellent (good quality, quantity and value). If i was going to Robin Hoods Bay I would be quite happy to go here again.

The Cross Hands, Fishponds

Been in here a couple of times in the last two weeks. New landlord i think? The beer was very good. Approx 2.50 a pint.

The Cornubia, Bristol

I usually end up introducing this pub to friends visiting Bristol. They always love it! and so do I. Top beer!

The Smoking Dog, Malmesbury

Drinks were ok but food was not good. I was camping at the nearby Burton Hill campsite (which incidentally was very good) with two of my kids. The food was averagely priced but was of very poor quality and quantity. Poor quality fish fingers and chicken nuggets for the kids (4.50 each) and my battered haddock (8.50) had numerous bones and not much fish. None of the meals had that many chips. Not good and would not recommend for food.
