Cross Keys Inn, Lydney

Been here a few times now, and never had a problem. Beer and service both good. Only ate once, but it was very nice.

The Rose and Crown, Huish Episcopi

Small but perfectly formed country pub. Beautiful building, with thatched roof and period interior. Have been here several times and the beer has never failed to impress. DEFINATELY worth a visit.

The Halfway House, Pitney

I know this pub well, and it's definately worth visiting, although I must say that some of the 'gushing' comments here leave me just a little perplexed. Unfortunately located, on the main road, but the beer and food are both very good, and staff are friendly and chatty.

The Chepstow Castle, Chepstow

Excellent pub, with stunning backdrop of the castle. Beer was good, staff were friendly. Definately worth a visit.

The Bell Hanger, Chepstow

Food was edible, and beer was good, but typical Spoons establishment - could be any one of a hundered. No car park; but pay-to-park near by.

George Inn, Aylburton

Nice pub, which has been sympathetically extended in recent years. Didn't eat here, but others were and everything looked appetising. Beer was good and staff were chatty (in a good way!).

Blacksmiths Arms, Alvington

Very nice pub, which is unfortunately located (on the main road). Food and beer were both good however, and the staff were frinedly and welcoming.

The Fountain, Parkend

Lovely village pub. Food and ale were both very good indeed. Two large outdoor seating areas (decking on front, large garden to the side). Well worth seeking out.

The Rising Sun, Moseley Green

Very nice pub, with large outdoor eating area. Beer was good, so was the food - albeit unashamedly pub-grub. Staff were polite and service was quick.

The Miners Arms, Whitecroft

Nice village pub with a good range of beers. Fairly busy with a rowdy bunch of locals when we visited, but all good natured. Plenty of parking and two outdoor seating areas.
