The White Hart, Holborn

Officially the 'oldest licensed premises in London', as it says outside on an antiquated blackboard. Yet upon entrance it's recently been done up and is so refreshingly modern even Michael J Fox would be impressed. The 'all girl' bar staff has been compromised by a new male manager with a box beard and peculiarly small hands I noticed as he was pouring my seventh pint of Hoegaarden. The urinals came fitted with pipes which took my watery booze-filled piss into the sewers, which was a novelty for me having spent my earlier evening in the yellow paddling pool known as Brown Sugar. The cubicles had no paper though, so it's a good job ASDA was sold out of Brussell Sprouts the night before. Top bant.

The Dublin Castle, Camden

My ex boyfriend Peter got punched here by one of the bouncers after refusing to "buck his f**king ideas up". Completely unacceptable. The only good thing here is Becks on tap and lush toilet paper.

The Bald Hind, Chigwell

Bumped into Ashley Cole outside here once, and thought I'd check it out. Overall 3/10. The atmosphere is full of chavs, I was hit on twice by some bisexual men, the drinks are expensive, the beers are oft warm, and the seats are made from balsa wood. Other than that service was good, toilets were pretty damn fine, and there are car parking facilities for those not wishing to drink.

The Penderel's Oak, Holborn

Met my ex boyfriend Peter here but apart from that it's fantastic - toilets are very glam, upstairs AND downstairs, the beer is both cheap and strong. The clientelle can sometimes be very 'chav'/hip hop, but it's easy enough to avoid them if you sit in the far corner.

Bar Mosko, Holborn

I religiously attended this pub for 2 years, popping across from the depressing issues at work at lunchtime to ease the pain with a few shots of tequila. Steadily the prices went up, and at 3 a shot now, I now frequent Wetherspoons. The barmaids are nice, but the toilets are small, sweaty and cramped, with only 3 urinals, 1 small sink, and a constantly out of use cubicle. Warning - I came here once on Friday night and it took literally 20 mins to get served, so much that I ended up buying three bottles of wine to last me the rest of the evening.
