I used to come in here all the time when I was fifteen! I've been about three times in the last year and have felt rather self conscious about being the only woman in the place. Maybe I've been going while the football is on or something... there is an old man in there that uses the phrase 'all right, treacle'.
Used to do cheesy chilli chips, well good... dunno if they are still on the menu.

The food was not particularly expensive by any means. It was a nice, pokey sort of pub and the fish and chips were well a bit nice. My friend has the ravioli, however, and was dismayed to find that the portion was enough to satisfy a reasonably big guinea pig. Fortunately, desserts were forthcoming.
Also, my annoying vegetarian mate decided to cajole the bar staff into swapping this and that around and not adding something or other. I found this very irritating but the staff catered to her whims. God knows why.

it is indeed a dump, you ought to go here when you are pissed and everywhere else is closed. then it's great.
