Ye Olde Murenger House, Newport

THE pub to go to in Newport. A finer pint you'll never find in Newport, as a Samuel Smiths pub the beer is kept in good condition a varied range of ales, stout and lagers. Friendly staff and good service are what you get here, even on a Saturday night you'll have an eclectic crowd in but no chavs, the managers won't have them in there!! Beware though, don't have too many pints of "Man in a box"!!

Oddfellows, Newport

Top pub, 2 seperate bars, the "rowdy" front bar populated by foul mouthed steroid and stella fuelled chavs, the back loung is a much better place. It boasts the only decent beer garden in the area and thus is extremely popular in the summer especially families with kids. The beer is good and the food even better, I recommend the Sunday roasts!!

Man of Gwent, Newport

A dire pub, with poor food and awful beer. Avoid this place like the plague, it's a shame really as this place used to be a top pub!!
