Heard and seen things, and it's an example of not believing everything you read or hear.
Great beer, great craic and friendly service.
Yes, it's not a conventional pub, but it's alright. No irritating background entertainment, idiot free, and relaxed feel.
Here and Brewery Tap served by far the best beer we found in Ludlow. Also, despite being a hotel prices here were keen.
Agree, this is surprisingly good!

Heaven is a place on Earth... Well this could be it.
Great setup. Cool visitor centre. Awesome atmosphere. Good ales brewed before your eyes! Pervious post is so right.
This is a must visit, and as we found, convenient if you arrive by train.

What a disappointment. Cask Mark... proof that it's meaningless!
Some of the worst beer we've had in ages. Doombar not my thing, but also a poor example.
Notrim what we'd hoped for.

This pub is a gem. The pint is the nicest you'll taste, the bar staff are friendly and the food is great value for money. All you could ever want in a pub.

The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel, Warwick
Not a boring chain hotel but quirky independent, close to the town centre. Very comfy.
Normally 4 real ales from small breweries are on tap. Great pint of RCH Pitchfork.
Consistently gets good recommendationso. Landlord is very friendly and they do good vale pub food at lunchtimes. Try it out.

A pub specialising in food or beer, and the Bhurtie is great for both. Food is home-made and reasonably priced. Eleven real ales available. Cosy interior with four drinking areas and a separate dining room. Wooden settles and two lovely fires. Good food and beer. Friendly service. Worth checking out.

The Three Tuns, Bishops Castle
A truly historic pub. The pub, together with the adjoining Three Tuns Brewery, has been on this site since the 1640’s. The brewery is now under separate ownership, but it still supplies all the pub's beer. Good pint of 1642 and XXX sampled.
Pub is split into four rooms. On one side is the "dining" lounge on the other, the ever popular front bar leading to the central characterful snug and the extended timber framed glass sided dining room.
Decent service. Also doggy friendly!

Great village pub, originally a coaching inn. Upto 8 local ales, all seemingly good.
Interesting collection of memorabilia including local maps and photos. Nice cobbled garden at the rear as well. Would recommend.

The Bull Hotel, Ludlow
Real dive. Marstons house. Same old ales. Very poor quality.
Worst pint we discovered on our crawl of Ludlow.
