The Living Room, York

Good bar staff, very knowledgable.

Pianist who plays there is very good, Joel White. Seen him play in Sheffield.

Heard good things about it. Don't listen to Luigee, he puts down everywhere that isn't Vodka Rev.

All Bar One, Sheffield

Wicked, love it here. Good food, good wine.

Yates's, Sheffield

Full of the RSVP/Weatherspoons crowd. Watch your wallet.

The Varsity, Sheffield

Always a good laugh in here, beer is crap though just like everywhere in Sheffield. Staff are nice though.

Yates's, Sheffield

Full of scummy people.

Revolution, Sheffield

Superb door staff? They look at everyone like shit! Not a very good way to retain customers. Mind you, show me a bouncer who doesn't look at people like shit..

Nice place, but I once asked for a Caipiroska without all the cranberry trimmings they put in it; just a regular one. Barmaid didn't have a clue. Awesome.

Ranmoor Inn, Sheffield

Good selection of lagers, and a nice pint of Staroparaman.

Porter Brook, Sheffield

Absolutely love it here.

Real Ales are spot on, lager is OK, and the food is spot on. Would thoroughly recommend.

Pomona, Sheffield

Pints are OK compared to it's Ecclesall Road neighbours. Food quite good, you tend to know what you're getting though if you're paying naf all.

Decor is good though, looks the part and always somewhere to sit.

Outside is good in the summer to watch the world go by.

Get a bad crowd in there sometimes though, who indulge in illegal practices..

Nursery Tavern, Sheffield

Looks wicked with the new furniture!

Shit pints, so stick to bottles and you're laughing!

Sheffield Waterworks Company, Sheffield

Terrible, even by Lloyds standards. Bloody SU fans..

The Forum, Sheffield

I like it here. Good place for lunch, food is always good.

Drink are a tough one. Cocktails are.. well, nothing. Awful Mojitos. Draft lager is normally flat. Tanq & Tonic however, cheap as chips!!

The Cavendish, Sheffield

Draft lager will leave you feeling seriously rough the next day. Music is always too loud, bar staff fancy themselves and yet are totally lacking and form of talent.

Hoylake Lights, Hoylake

Beautiful ladies

Harp Inn, Little Neston

Friendly landlady? She must have been seriously inebriated.

The Lodestar, Neston

My banana split was black. You don't need to be the best chef in the world (or particularly bright) to know you don't serve a black banana. Used to have a great atmosphere, how times change.

The Ship Hotel, Parkgate

Probably the best atmosphere in the area. Packed to the rafters of a weekend.

Lady Hamilton, Neston

Pubwatch doesn't exist here.

The Old Quay, Parkgate

Shocking lager. I'll always have fond memories of the place, but it's just a serious no no. It's no wonder it was the last one to be refurbished by the brewery! It's trying to copy The Glegg and failing in spectacular fashion.

The Cavendish, Sheffield

Surely the space could be used in a better way. Have never sat down in there. Good deals on some of your shorts though!

20 Mar 2005 13:21

The Globe, Sheffield

It has the best jukebox in the area. Just about makes up for the gasless lager

20 Mar 2005 13:19

The Lions Lair, Sheffield

Food was nice. Not the biggest portions I've ever had but good nonetheless. Was full of arrogant businessmen which didn't create the best atmosphere!

The Sportsman, Sheffield

A strange one. Cheap lager was nice to see, turned out not being nice to drink.
