The bar end is comfy, and the bar staff are friendly.
I haven't sampled the weekend disco yet, but will update as and when....

Nice atmosphere, all in all a decent pub.
Far superior to the frenzied student infested "trendy" bars nearby.
A proper pub.

The Harbour of Refuge, Hartlepool
Good Lord. It was like going back in time.
Half decent pint, acceptable surroundings.
Once you get used to the sound of the banjo's its not a bad place.

Typical Wetherspoons pub.
L A C K S A T M O S P H E R E ! ! ! !
Dirty tables etc etc.
Food fair to middling (and i'm being generous).
During the day, full of the obligatory pissheads, and come the weekend, wall to wall totty.

If you enjoyed Pheonix Nights, you'll LOVE the Tin Pot.
Cheap drink, and a good pint.

If you like having your head kicked in, The Shades is a MUST.
Absolute crap hole, particuarly on Thursday nights, when a bunch of weirdo's, all dressed as dead people (goths??) decend on the place.
Asda is nearby. Go and get a two litre bottle of white lightning, and sit on a street corner. Believe me, it favourable to a night in the Shades.

When this place opened, I thought it would be a breath of fresh air for Peterlee.
Sadly, it hasn't lived up to its expectations of becoming Peterlee's premier night spot, and is, in my opinion, the black sheep of the Wetherspoon pub chain.
The service has declined to an unacceptable level, the food is naff, and the tables are always dirty and sticky.
There is reguarly a 30 to 45 minute wait for food.
Off duty staff socialise there, and the on duty staff pay them more attention than the customers.
Overall, very poor, especially for wetherspoons.

What a complete dive. Overpriced, tatty and dirty. Full of charva's, all with their giro's and family allowance buring a hole in their trackky bottoms.
Would I go back? I'd rather shove wasps up my arse...

Not a bad pint, but it would appear to be frequented by the same work shy losers on a daily basis.
