The Cross Keys Inn, Cawsand

Great pub, good ale selection and a couple of 'real' ciders. Friendly staff and a nice location in Cawsand Square just up from the beach.

Now transformed with a decent refit and a new name 'The Brass Monkey'. It's got a great new feel to it and you now realise your in a pub! Good priced drinks, large selection of real ales and friendly staff...decent place for a few drinks!!

The Isambard, Paddington

Ok...it's a square box and located on a busy platform entrance...that aside the staff were very friendly and efficient. Comfy seating and beers not bad. Could do a lot worse if in Paddington waiting for your train.

The Sawyers Arms, Paddington

Not a bad pub and use it quite often when in London. Not cheap but staff are good and the food is not bad.

The Cambridge, Soho

Pleasent pub with good choie of real ales. Quite atmospheric but why, why does it close at 2300 in Central London?

The Duke of Argyll, Soho

Fantastic pub...great beer at really cheap prices. Good food and a really nice atmosphere.
Aussie barman on duty when I was there last week was very friendly and excellent at his job.

The Three Greyhounds, Soho

Discovered this place on my recent London trip and it is quite fantastic. Great beer selection with wide range of real ales and (real)ciders.
Great food...you gotta try one of the pies...
All in all a little jewel in the heart of Soho.

Noahs Ark, Plymouth

This pub continues to improve and is starting to thrive. Great local crowd, good staff and a management that has changed the pub beyond belief. Try it and see guys!!

Hog's Head, Plymouth

Well it's a lot better these days. Still a bit like a Bus Station waiting room, but there's usually a good crowd in, so that gives atmosphere.
Couple of real ales (Cask Marque) and the prices are cheap Sun-Thu.

The place continues to improve. Disregard the early reviews, they no longer apply.
Great prices, good staff. Good food during the day and entertainment Wed-Fri.

Noahs Ark, Plymouth

This place has certainly improved. Had a (deserved) bad reputation, but now has new management and staff. Cheap beer, good food and entertainment points to a 100% improvement.

The Union Inn, St Ives

One of those eerie Cornish experiences...as you walk in the pub, the place goes silent and they all stare at you! And this in the middle of a top resort on a sunny day in late September. I didn't stay long!!

The Packet Station, Falmouth

Visited there yesterday on a very wet and blustery afternoon. Had a few great pints of Sheppy's Cider with excellent friendly service. Highly recommended.

The Gog and Magog, Plymouth

Not as bad as the reviews make out. Had a great pint of Exmoor Gold and the Spitfire was ok.You wouldn't want to spend a whole session there, but ok for a couple. Staff friendly too.
