This pub is in a great location for coming home from the station. So why can't it be more welcoming. It is always freezing cold and playing sport on big tv screens. My worse nightmare

This pub is lovely. Big fire great lighting and good beer. But the food is extremely expensive ( probably catering for the tourists ). It's a very busy pub with lots of locals and diners. However the lady ( not the landlady) is not very polite and pleasant. I won't be coming back sadly until she leaves

This pub should be praised not knocked. Yes it's a backstreet pub not always busy. But the beer especially the London pride is excellent and the bar staff always friendly. We cane for Sunday lunch once and was so packed we couldn't be seated. We booked next time and had the best Sunday lunch in st Albans ( and we've had a few). We have been back lots of times and really like the relaxed atmosphere

An ok pub. But if you want a good pint of ESB. Go to the Portland arms.
