Old Gate Bar & Restaurant, Hebden Bridge

This pub is about to reopen as The Old Gate after a major refurbishment. The new owners also own The Fire House in Sowerby Bridge A good selection of Real Ales is promised and there will be a restaurant upstairs

Robin Hood Inn, Hebden Bridge

THe current landlords are the owners and have been there about six months (possibly a bit more). Previously they had let it out to tenants.
The pub has improved since they started running it themselves. The guests beers are generally light and hoppy ones (and in good condition). The beers are very reasonably priced and they also have interesting lagers on draught, presumeably supplied by Clays at Elland.

Not tried the food but people I know say its good.

The first review on here is definitely for the "other" Robin Hood at Pecket Well

The Pack Horse Inn, Widdop

Ignore the rating! This is an excellent pub in a beautiful setting at the top of Hardcastle Crags. The beers are kept in excellent condition and there is an excellent selection of Malt Whisky - the Landlord is an enthusiast,

Order the food at the kitchen (no chips!) and you will find you get excellent fayre in ample proportions. The beef broth is thick enoiugh almost to stand your spoon in and the Monster Burger is just what it says. The roasts are excellent.

Usually served by bus 906 at Weekends and Bank Holidyas in Summer and you can walk back down through the Craggs to Hebden Bridge, calling at the Blue Pig on the way.

Jubilee Refreshment Rooms, Sowerby Bridge

Excellent pub on Sowerby Bridge Station, Opened in July 2009 after a long period of negotiation with Network Rail using the old Waiting Rooms that used to be on the up loop platform.

6 real ales, mainly from Local Brewers in good condition. They also do hot drinks and locally produced cakes in the style of a railway buffet. Good breakfast avalable in the morning at reasonable prices.

I recently attended an excellent local transport evening.

Moyles, Hebden Bridge

As a regular I find that the beer is served at the correct tempearture and in tip top condition. The bar manager is willing to order any beer requested and if you have any complaints about a beer (end of barrell etc) it is immediately replaced without question. The real ale is at very competitive priced (though the other drinks are dearer).

The food is good though the portions are a bit on the small side (for me anyway!)
