Goose At The Flyer, Horfield

Comes into its own in the summer thanks to a great beer terrace, over-priced since the refurb though! Also avoid if you're allergic to students

Full Moon, Fishponds

Anon were you not wearing an England shirt and showing off your BNP/NF tattoos? No wonder they didn't like you! AVOID

The Portcullis, Fishponds

Yep, a much improved pub and I can't believe no-one has mentioned the peacock that (semi) lives in the backgarden - he's even got his own Facebook appreciation group! Still, our feathered friend is only one reason to visit this excellent community pub

Van Dyke, Fishponds

Agree with poster below, I've been in here loads and never seen any trouble! It can get a bit moody/rowdy on a Sat night but.. it's a Wetherspoons, what did you expect? All in all, not a bad place to go for a cheap pint or two and/or food (nothing fancy just OK pub grub)

The Porto Lounge, Fishponds

Posey and overpriced... nice coffee though, and they have Wi-Fi which is a bonus. Is popular with groups of girls wanting to avoid beered-up lads!

Only good-looking East Europeans prepared to work for peanuts need apply for a job there though which leaves a bit of a nasty taste to me

The Railway Tavern, Fishponds

Really nice pub, best in Fishponds... friendly staff, nice mix of people (students/locals/townies/old men/you name it), good food and a great beer garden for soaking up the summer sun... even the music is okay

The Old Post Office, Fishponds

Bit faceless, bit townie, but they do decent food and the locals are friendly enough

Arc Bar, Bristol
