Half Moon Inn, Harrogate

Visited this establishment on Sunday the 16th of September 2012.
Friendly staff who make you very welcome in a nice atmosphere no Sky tv and no jukebox blaring out just how it should be.

We had the home made steak & kidney pie, which was superb, served with fresh vegetables and home made chips no frozen rubbish. With out doubt we will certainly visit the Half Moon again when passing.
All in all a very nice pub well worth a visit which also made our dogs welcome with a few treats from the landlord.

The Railway, Ramsbottom

Called in today while out for a walk with our dog and was told in no uncertain terms and rather rudely i might add "no dogs allowed in here" so we left and wont bother going in again simples!

So much for needing local custom!

The Good Samaritan, Ramsbottom

NOW CLOSED DOWN!

The building has been converted into an expensive restaurant.

The New Inn, Cross

On the 20th of April 2012 around 6pm we visited the New Inn at Cross for an evening meal with friends to celebrate my birthday.
Out of the four meals we ordered three were very disappointing to say the least! My wife ordered the battered fish and home made chips unfortunately the pre-frozen fish was totally raw in the middle and was sent back with my wife deciding not to have it reheated so went without her meal.
My rib eye steak (priced at 15:95) was stone cold on arrival and was sent back to the kitchen, the waitress returning some 15 minutes later, when everyone else in our party had finished or given up on their meals.
My friends gammon steak was all but raw in the middle and he gave most of it to the pubs dog. His wife had the Sea Bass which was, to be honest, the only meal of the four that we could say was ok.

All in all a very poor experiance and one we shall never repeat again at this establishment and would advise any one wanting a decent meal to avoid the New Inn at all costs.

Also on a footnote the exact same round of drinks was 1:45 more expensive than the Lamb Inn half a mile down the road in Axbridge.

The Cross Keys Inn, Uppermill

Great atmosphere always made welcome and the food is excellent the staff are very friendly and can not do enough for you.

A far cry from the sorry sad Church Inn down the road.
