The Brown Bear, Sheffield

I love Samuel Smiths pubs and am particularly fond of consuming the Taddy Porter. Place looks so much better since the refurbishment. Alas, I have to agree with other posters about the poor quality of the core customer base.

All Bar One, Sheffield

It's part of a national chain and is pretty much the same as other branches. Food is on the whole rather good. A major plus point is that you don't get the council estate riff raff that frequents so many regular type pubs.

The Old Queens Head, Sheffield

It's ok as a meeting place. Would have to make more trips to see if it will become my new local.

The Swan, Stockwell

It's an expats pub but is very friendly all the same. The joint usually has a tribute act and is a good place to spend a couple of intoxicated hours.

The Royal Oak, River

Most refreshing to find a pub like this. A very welcoming service coupled with excellent food.

A very friendly place. Recommended.

The Surprise at Pimlico, Pimlico

Unless you are a local or have a riot shield don't even think about going in.

Ritz, Lincoln

Worth a trip for the memorabilia from the days when this was a theatre. Signed Johnny Cash pic hanging on the wall. How cool is that?

The Knights Templar, Chancery Lane

Fantastic. Much better than the usual Wetherspoons.

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

A jewel in the Samuel Smith empire.

The Cricketers, River

Quite a nice pub.

The Cask, Pimlico

This pub was always delightfully seedy but now has veered to the downright dangerous. Popped in for a swift half the other day and was horrified to see that Crack was openly being sold by some of the chavs from the local estate. Only a matter of time before the police shut this pub down.

The Dragonfly, Orton Malborne

Some areas get the pub they deserve. This is one of them. Don't even venture in out of morbid curiosity. It's like something out of an episode of Shameless.
