The Purple Turtle, Reading

Really good night out to be had here.

If you don't want to listen to the music you get in 95% of the pubs in Reading. Or if you wan't to be able to walk into a pub without your complete outfit scrutinised by neanderthal doormen, GO TO THE PURPLE TURTLE!

Music is out of the ordinary and atmosphere is great

Bar 38, Reading

I have had good and bad nights here. Prices are high and beer isn't great. Also find it gets very hot and this can make your drink too warm

The Back of Beyond, Reading

Pretty much what you come to expect for Wetherspoons. Reletively good beer, well priced and a good pub grub menu.

Layout is good and outside area good in the summer

The Victoria Arms, Wokingham

Nice pub!

Good drinks selection, with good real ales. I have not tried the food.

Staff are friendly and regulars respond in kind.

Well worth an evening

The Duke's Head, Wokingham

Nice enough pub with a fairly good atmosphere.

Biggest complaint I have when at this place is that the prices always seem quite high

The Gig House, Wokingham

Nice and airy. Plenty of space and high ceilings give very open feel.

Real ale and real ciders on tap and a very wide range (over 30 i think) of bottled beers and lagers.

Food is ok. Pub has a curry night every thursday.

Pub shows music videos and sports on the numerous flat screen TVs all over the bar

The Crispin, Wokingham

Really nice small pub with friendly staff and regulars.

Superb selection of ales. Regulrly have unusual beers from lesser known breweries. They also had (not sure if its still there) a request board where you can suggest specific beers and they will try to get hold of them for you.

Added bonus is thet this is one of the few pubs left in Wokingham with a Dart board

Broad Street Tavern, Wokingham

Nice little pub. Can feel a little cramped when busy due to the lack of space but owners do well to maximise the small amount of space available.

A wide variety of good beer served regularly.
