Has never been the same since the pub had a refurb in the 1980s, with the original interior being sold and exported to the states ! shocking !

nice pub and decor, but the place is understaffed and very impersonal... feels like a chain pub... needs some soul !

Really trying to be trendy .... not really working though, was much nicer and busier when it was a proper pub in it's hey day in the 1990s. only busy now at the weekends.

very atmospheric old 3 storey candlelit pub . lovely food and local ales. Jazz and folk music events on the weekends are great...... hassle free very cosy and friendly a favourite with arty folk and students though gets very very busy most nights so worth arriving early to grab a table !

I worked in this little wine bar back in the mid 1980s and still a cool place on my re visit recently !
