The Brewery Inn, Ashtead

Monday 18th June
Just because of the World Cup Stonegate have suspended the £2.50 real ale deal
Just to make more money and sod the customers

Ashtead Village Club, Ashtead

In reply to the last comment this site is called beerintheevening not pubsintheevening so I see no objection to clubs using this site

The Brewery Inn, Ashtead

Recently had a minor refurbishment i e repainting inside and out and new furniture but otherwise basically the same
In reply to BMB I have lived in Ashtead all my life and the Brewery has never been called the Brewery Tap.Also I was there with my mother on Mothers Day and it was not empty plus I had the roast beef and it was perfect. Are you sure you posted your comment to the correct Brewery

The Dolphin, Betchworth

I called in last night for a couple of pints and was shocked to find no swearing louts and no drunkend landlady only civilised customers eating and drinking and friendly staff
Perhaps I was lucky but in the past I have avoided pubs I don't know because of the bad reviews in Beer In The Evening
My advice, read the reviews then go in the pub anyway and make your own mind up

Scarlett Arms, Walliswood

Newly refurbished
Not much change except moving the kitchen and replacing the old bar (shame)
A Hall & Woodhouse pub so the real ales ok
Friendly out of the way pub ideal for a hot summers day when we get one

The Punchbowl, Oakwoodhill

A Hall & Woodhouse pub so the beer is not too bad
There's a separate public bar if you want to avoid the snobs in the lounge
Friendly staff and good freshly cooked food

The Kings Arms, Ockley

Like Bryces this is a restaurant not a pub despite having a good range of real ales
All tables set out for eating
Have not eaten here but food seems very good but expensive

Bryces, Ockley

This is a restaurant not a pub
Only eaten there once when the firm was paying
Food is excellent if you can afford it

The Dukes Head, Leatherhead

Useless pub for real ale,its potluck if there's any on
but generally a friendly pub.Food has improved and is good value too.

The Edmund Tylney, Leatherhead

One of the earlier wetherspoons, very overdue for a refit.
Choice of beer not as good as other wetherspoons

The Woodman, Ashtead

Apart from the odd miserable bar person, especially the bald one, this is a nice, relaxing pub.The patio in the front is great for watching the world go by.
Memo to Ember Inns:Please repair your car park.

The Brewery Inn, Ashtead

This must be one of the friendliest pubs in the area, far better than the Woodman, and the choice of bitter is better as well.
