The New Inn, Eype

Deeply unpleasant pint of Palmers copper ale from the end of a barrel. Replaced with fresh pint, but still not great.

The food was not great, it was featured in a TV program with Hugh Fernley Whittingstall as the venue for the pudding club, so the tourists come regardless.

The food was not great, we tried the pudding based on reputation and that was not great either.

Dirty and unkempt.

I would not go back.

Peacock Farm, Bracknell

Awful food, meat in vegetarian dishes!

Very much a chain pub, no real Landlord or person who cares, just a target driven manager

Jack O'Newbury, Binfield

A proper English pub, selling great beer, I had Binfield best which is brewed just for this pub, they also had 3 other beers on including Old Boy from West Berks.

In addition to great beer the do great food like the excellent, and very traditional, ploughmans I had. The menu also offers plenty of choice for vegetarians.

The Three Legged Cross, Warfield

No longer a Pub but a Bar Restaurant it should be removed from BITE.

The keg St Edmunds is NOT real ale, but at least it is ice cold, unlike the warm coke from a bottle and the complete lack of ice. They don't sell crisps because "we are a restaurant, not a pub"

The Bottle Inn, Marshwood

Superb vegetarian (and non veggie) selection. Simple and very well cooked, local seasonal food. highly recommended. Well worth a visit.

The Stag and Hounds, Binfield

The pub, once at the centre of Windsor forest, has real beams and a large Inglenook fireplace ideal for cold winter days.

There is plenty of outside seating to enjoy any fine weather. Three seperate rooms plus large restraunt area. The "Library" features a range of favorite games, boards and cards. No pool, no TV very nice.

Great food, but not inexpensive

Had three good ales when I visited, I had Hooky, Bomberdier was also on, fortgot what the other was.

Beer was slightly warmer than I would have liked, as was the pub, roaring fires, it was cold out.

Nice staff.

The Alehouse, Reading

Well, they play "Scarey Bitches" have a bar full of pumps, with tiny spaces in between. Great choice of Beer. Great atmosphere.

I try to visit everytime I go to Reading.

The Crispin, Wokingham

Tatty, ramshackled and superb, good choice of beer, well kept beer, a real pub for people, basic, almost "spit n sawdust" a local pub where they know each others names.

I liked it, I'll be back

The Back of Beyond, Reading

Nice Pub, good selection of beers and ciders, if you sit at the back you can look out over the canal, there is an outdoor patio area with heaters. Non smoking, inexpensive.

No TV, Pool Tables or other such annoyances.

Old Manor, Bracknell

Now a totally NON Smoking pub, 7 bar areas, 2 main bars, 6 or so real ales, 2 beer festivals a year, inexpensive, food is okay as well (menu doesn't change much so a little boring if you eat there much) .

No Big Screen TV, No Music, No Pool Tables...

Crispin, Winkfield

Country Pub, large car park, nice fancy food.

The Shepherds House, Moss End

Expensive fancy food, reheated on the premises with the most basic skills, badly done, no real beer everything is keg.

Bridge, Bracknell

Interesting pub, London Pride is the only proper beer, they seem to run our on tuesdays... Has Bar Billiards, several pool tables, darts and Big TV.

Old Manor, Bracknell

The best "chain" pub ever, large, non smoking areas, inexpensive, lots of real ale, 2 beer festivals a year, food is not "exciting", but tollerable.
