As always - great ale, good laugh, nice atmosphere and as we all know, "I Love A Party With A Happy Atmosphere".

Well what's happening here? Heard from some guys I met in The Stag, yesterday, that Tuesday night was a fiasco. Only that numpty landlord serving the masses and there was a quiz on apparently. Is this a case of 1 step forward and 3 back?

That man shouldn't be anywhere near the pumps. Enough said.

Ok, it's Friday and I'm out & about tonight. Good chance I will call into "The Hood" for a few pints of my favourite tipple. The question is whether Jack will recognise me.

As always, good service, great ale, lively atmosphere and I do like a party with a happy atmosphere.
Looking forward to Saturday when we're eating at The Hood.

Couldn't help stopping by after the KA. Great to see Stewart & Terry back and good to see it so busy for a Thursday.

Food looked good again, although I didn't stop to try. Balckboard looked more appealing as well.

Don't know when their next holiday is, but will have to make the most of it.

What's occurring! No T&S and it's gone a bit Pete Tong and what's happened to the food board? I brought a friend along last night for some grub, as I'd been banging on about the excellent specials and it was most disappointing, so we went next door to the Indian and had a really good ruby.

How long are T&S away for?

Wow! What a transformation. Haven't been in this pub for many months. Decided to see if it had seen the error of its ways and by jolly it has. That annoyingly dull bloke behind the bar has gone, they've got great ales all weekend and the staff are on the money and cheery. Great atmosphere as well.

Everytime I go into this pub, the atmosphere is terrific, the staff friendly and helpful and above all, the ale is superb.

There really isn't a better pub for probably 30 miles.

Good one TIM.

What is going on? I thought this pub had been bought by the locals for the locals, yet whenver I've been in there it's deserted. So much for local support.

Chap behind the bar - bit dull. And what's with the tv?

Once upon a time that pub would be heaving with customers, great ales, good atmosphere. Now its one-up from the Marie Celeste.

Some advice from someone who knows a thing or two. Get some lively bar staff, bit of background music, Keep the ale coming and sort out the menu and hey, who knows, they might return.

I thought the previous bird couldn't be surpassed for killing a pub, but someone's having a good go.

Never fails to deliver. Excellent ale, always a good atmosphere although there are a couple of regular soaks who stand at the bar like they own it. Service is always prompt.
Can't really fault it.

Word to other local pubs. Take a look at how it should be done!!

Why go anywhere else? Had lunch in there on Sunday. Just great. Atmosphere terrific, good food, what else could you ask for. This has to be the best pub in Tring, by a mile.

Hey, what's going on with this pub. I've seen more life in a morgue. Have a word.

Having heard that the chef from the hood had defected to the KA, i was apprehensive about eating at the hood, but having endured a bad evening at the KA a couple of nights earlier, i was pleasantly surprised by events at the hood. it was packed.

Stewart back in the kictehn is a good ting.

Great atmosphere, good food, excellent service particularly from Jack behind the bar.

Long may it continue.

very disappointed. i'd heard that the chef from The Robin Hood had moved there but was very disappointed with (a) the quality of the food and (b) the service. all a bit shipshod. obviously reports that the chef from the hood is there are wide of the mark.

Does anyone know where he's gone?
