I thought the food here was typical beeefeater- but nowhere near as good as the Woolpack at Hothfield (also a beefeater).

A good pub- worth visiting, but not one of the best. Nice interior, excellent riverside garden for romantic evening drinks.

I eat here regularly (well, 4-6 times a year) and it is the best of the Beefeater pubs in kent I've been to (Malta Inn- Maidstone, Green man - Longfield, White Horse- Bearsted, Manor Hotel- Rainham, Woodlands- gravesend)

When visited last year (06)- thought food was good, but not a particularly hospitable pub to non-locals

Called in for a bar snack- i ended up being seduced by the traditional menu (had steak suet pudding).
Excellent portion size of home made food- longish wait for it (but we were constantly advised of this).
The wait was worth it- best quality food I have had in long time.
Beer was well kept and presented- I was given choice of glass to choose from.

The Cock Inn, Luddesdowne
Visited last year- enjoyed the food very much. Nice atmosphere.
