The Old Sergeant, Chase End

I went in here while visiting a friend - we struggled to find anywhere else local to watch Sky Sports 1! Seemed a nice enough place - friendly staff anyway. The locals didn't seem too bad; a few wanted to talk and we didn't feel unwelcome.

The Yorkshire Terrier Inn, York

Good pub, great service. Maybe a bit bright with the lighting! Good to see Stowford Press on tap. Definately worth another visit. 8/10

The Maltings, York

Like the Golden Fleece in York the character of the pub really makes the visit. The service is good and the choice of real ales & ciders are excellent.

The Golden Fleece, York

A really interesting little pub! Went for lunch the other day and it was really nice. Good choice on the menu. Service was ok, barmaid was a little miserable! The character really makes the visit though.

The Packhorse, Woodhouse

I think this has to be one of the worst pubs I've ever been in! It may have apparently kept its character but it's a right dive

The Adelphi, Leeds

Definately pricey! Interesting decor though, and worth a visit for that alone. Crisps were 1.10 when I last went in.

The Head of Steam, Huddersfield

I think the Head of Steam is a great pub, I've never had any problems and I've been going in there regularly for the past 18 months. The Station Tavern isn't a patch on the Head of Steam - I've only been in the Station once and got a very unfriendly welcome. I would definately recommend the Head of Steam; a wide range of real ales and plenty of ciders! (Stowford, Woodpecker, Strongbow, and Westons in bottles)

The Tunnel End Inn, Marsden

A brilliant pub I've visited time and time again, even though it is miles out of my way! The atmosphere and welcome are great, the food also lovely. Some great events too including the Open Mic nights and quiz nights. Only 2 for ALL guest ales, 2 on at a time.

The Great Western, Marsden

We had a lovely time at the Great Western this weekend. Although we didn't eat there the food smelt great. Very clean and friendly. I was particularly impressed with the cider on handpull! I will definately be going back, probably for a meal next time.

Great location for walkers to wind down from a day out.

The Rutland Arms, Sheffield

This place sells Stowford Press so is great to nip in for a quick pint, especially when waiting for a train. It's only 5 mins from the station.

The New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield

We go in there each season when we're playing at Hillsborough (I won't mention the team!) I love the pub, a wide range of real ales and ciders. Good food, big portions! Well worth a visit.

The Ha Ha Bar, Sheffield

Nice atmosphere, you pay a little extra for this though! Well worth a visit for a quiet drink with a partner.

The Plough, Littlethorpe

Not as good as it used to be, especially the food.
