The Kings Arms, Longford

lovely pub but rough tasting ale.

The Sheaf View, Heeley

I love this pub. Sheffield is of course an amazing place for pubs and this place was my favourite!

Lucky lucky locals.

The Hollybush Inn, Makeney

Just a wonderful wonderful pub. Well worth making the effort to visit. Best pub I have discovered in Derbyshire!

2 Nov 2012 09:35

The White Hart, Duffield

yes, not a pub by even the most optimistic of definitions. I sat outside on a wet bench with my beer as that felt like the only option.

21 Sep 2012 16:20

Rashleigh Arms, Charlestown

best pub in the St Austell area, easily!

9 Sep 2011 14:16

The Hind, Leicester

good location, bad beer!

22 Jul 2011 14:08

The Castle Inn, St Ives

any news on the sale of this pub?

19 Jul 2011 09:33

The Golden Lion, St Ives

Since when did this become a Sharp's pub? Am gutted :(

7 Jul 2011 16:12

The Baring, Hoxton

A good pub that has been getting better and better over the 4-5 years I have been coming here. Landlord is a top bloke too!

22 Jun 2011 14:33

The Vine, Kentish Town

Greene King bought it instead. Not sure if that is better than a developer.

16 Jun 2011 08:33

The, Gants Hill

What an unexpected delight! From the outside you wouldn't expect a lot but this is a really awesome place for a drink. Friendly too.

27 May 2011 15:36

Oddfellows Arms, Exeter

Not really my kind of pub but I'll go anywhere that serves a good pint of Proper Job

6 May 2011 14:33

The Albion, Barnsbury

5 bar staff managed to do an impressive job of ignoring me, the only customer, for a good couple of minutes. A couple of them looked busy but the other 3 were just leaning.

And they had no ale anyway. And when they do its close on 4 pounds a pint.

4 May 2011 09:56

The Miners Arms, Bristol

Great scruffy pub serving a good selection of ales.

4 Apr 2011 10:43

The Golden Egg, Kilburn

Had been in the pub for less than a minute before a local told us "I'm a regular, you're not, f off". Should have heeded his warning as my pint was poor too.

30 Mar 2011 09:41

North Nineteen, Holloway

Last night this pub gave me shelter from the snow and the best steak I have had in years. All that and beer from Skinners too. 10/10.

17 Dec 2010 16:21

The Northgate, Islington

has reopened this week under new ownership, serving 3 real ales.

15 Dec 2010 16:46

Henry's Bar, Paignton

The first 4 words of your description apply to this pub too! My favourite in Paignton.

29 Nov 2010 15:33

Brewbaker, Berlin

really awesome brewpub. Recommend the tasters. Friendly place too.

8 Nov 2010 13:38

The Oakdale Arms, Harringay

persisting in serving good beer till the end!

still going but not for long.

9 Aug 2010 12:32

The Chainlocker and Shipwrights, Falmouth

For me this is the best pub in Falmouth. Looks great and serves a nice range of beers all in good condition.

21 Jul 2010 14:26

Au Bon Vieux Temps, Brussels

the waitress hid for 15-20 minutes until we went away. Appalling!

19 Jul 2010 09:01

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

mr.toes.5_ knows what he is talking about. This pub is very much at risk. Real shame.

3 Jun 2010 09:33

Ice Wharf, Camden

don't mess with the bouncers. They only need the smallest excuse to get nasty.

If you prefer to enjoy your drink without the threat of violence come during the week....or don't come at all.

26 May 2010 15:01

Maritime Inn, Plymouth

my favourite pub in Plymouth!

14 May 2010 12:04

The Dolphin, Plymouth

And the 35th review takes it into the Top 10 pubs on here!

simple stripped down pub for a pint of ale.

14 May 2010 11:59

The Old Fountain, Old Street

FaP is advertising World Cup football here. Say it isn't so!?

10 May 2010 09:38

The Reform Inn, Pilton

good beer and a friendly welcome. Glad I found it!

26 Apr 2010 16:44

The Devonshire Arms, Camden

good music, bad ale.

21 Apr 2010 09:06

The Social, Islington

reopened as the Hanbury Arms. Not sure if anyone administers such changes here.

1 Feb 2010 14:33

The Royal George, Euston

why does the gents smell so much as soon as you walk in?

shame as the beer was alright.

30 Dec 2009 08:45

Hoopers Bar, Camberwell

This place is definately my favourite pub of 2009. I only wish I lived a little (well actually a lot) closer. Keep up the good work Jamie!

3 Dec 2009 08:28

The Old Ale Emporium, Harringay

Great pub. Really friendly owners and top notch guest ales!

9 Oct 2009 13:55

The Charlotte Despard, Archway

Not sure what it was like previously but it's a great pub now!

2 Sep 2009 15:06

The Angel, Rotherhithe

closed at 6pm on a saturday. What gives?

17 Aug 2009 13:31

The William IV, Kensal Green

ale was off

15 Jul 2009 10:07

The Speckled Hen, St Albans

seemed a nice enough pub to me and I am all for the kids rule

1 Jun 2009 13:18

The Royal Oak, Vauxhall

going downhill, clearly not caring any more.

14 May 2009 09:43

The Britannia Tap, West Kensington

Pub was quite empty but I loved it. The place looks great, the staff are friendly and the Thai food was really good too.

21 Nov 2008 09:51

All Bar One, Waterloo

awful service!

7 Nov 2008 09:05

Hostinec U Cerneho Vola, Prague

Not the friendliest place to someone not speaking Czech but thats probably how they retain their authentic feel in such a touristy area. I recommend braving it and you won't regret it!

3 Nov 2008 11:08

Flores Bar, Leicester

Amazing range of beers, really enjoyed the smoked beer mentioned in previous comment.

Staff were really friendly too which does make a difference!

20 Aug 2008 09:25

The Blue Eyed Maid, Borough

Looked good to begin with and it did show the cricket at least but the manager played the fruit machine the whole time which was really annoying. Was thinking of having a curry but the amount of flies in the bar put me off. If I thought there were a lot of flies in the bar then the toilet was shocking. Swarms of flies...it can't be that hard to keep a place clean.

Shame looks like the place has some potential, but I won't be going back.

30 Jun 2008 10:34

Bar Ria, Old Street

This pub has gone now.

25 Apr 2008 10:37

The Rack and Tenter, Moorgate

best pub of a poor bunch

30 Jan 2008 15:36

Digress, Moorgate

I occasionally go due to the lack of choice in the area. At least there is some cheap food but the place is basically rubbish and it'll take you an age to get served even when its practically empty

30 Jan 2008 15:35

The Phoenix, City Of London

Nice to be able to avoid the smoke but beyond that I found it a bit on the dear side and there wasn't really anything special about it.

10 Jan 2007 15:50

The Frog and Princess, Paris

Love this pub to bits. The whole chain is great but this is the best one to come to for a more chilled evening and does the better food!

2 Aug 2006 11:33

The Frog and Rosbif, Paris

My favourite pub in the whole world. The most welcoming place I've ever been! It was my local for 8 glorius months!

2 Aug 2006 11:31

Abacus, Bank

About as good as a bar that doesn't sell pints can be. 5/10.

31 Jul 2006 16:01

Fan Club, Leicester

The best club in Leicester 96-98. Haven't been to a club there since so probably still is!

31 Jul 2006 15:30

Dry Dock, Leicester

Liked it when it was opened in my last year as a student but last time I went back we ordered some food. We were given a mug with a stubbed out cigarette and a piece of chewed gum in it to mark our table (nice) and there were a few tiny crumbs of cheese in the burger that could easily have been scraped off the plate of the last person who had a cheese related meal.

31 Jul 2006 15:18

The Bavarian Beerhouse, Shoreditch

I love it! The beer might be a little dear but its worth it for the experience. Have been once when it was busy and once when it was empty - enjoyed both. Love the waitress outfits of course. Its closer to an authentic experience than I expected. Top marks from me!
