Went to the Selirk yesterday and had a great Sunday lunch. Generous portions and tasty tender chicken. The staff were attentive, and best of all, the stinking loos are no more - they've been renovated and were spotless.
Will be going back very soon.

Great pub for a post-work drink and stick around for the food. Very friendly staff who pay their customers attention.

The North Pole, North Kensington
Avoid at all costs - terrible food and awful service last time I visited - which coincidentally will be the last time I visit this place.

I visited the newly opened Rose for lunch last Sunday and found it to be a delight. Since reopening under its new name the food is vastly improved and the decor inside is excellent. I met the new landlady who was lovely - she explained that it is still a work in progress, so I can't wait to go back and see what else has been done and to eat there again. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere good to eat in the Fulham area.

The Hillgate, Notting Hill Gate
The Hillgate has been given a refit and has a new menu with a new chef and is wonderful. Love how the pub looks, and the food is out of this world. I ate Bavette Steak which was perfectly cooked - quite honestly the best steak I've ever had in a pub where so often you're let down when you order one.
They have a good range of ales on offer, including Wandle and Pride.
The loos here used to be a bit disgusting, but they're much better now. If you haven't been to the Hillgate recently, you should make the effort to go back soon.
