The Fort Jester, Castle Bromwich

Not a Pub, a playground for unruly children belonging to unruly parents.

Really need to update my review of this pub. Tuesday nights at the time of writing this review are Steak Nights with very good quality food being served at two for 20 deals. Now for the beer, I am not the only one commenting on the quality, the Banks Bitter is the BEST pint i have ever had up to now and also The Marstons Pedigree is superb whatever you are upto in the cellar keep it up.
at the moment, Best beer in the area by a country mile !!

Green Man, Coleshill

Nice unique pub in the heart on coleshill. always a couple of real ales on along with the regular beers. nice cosy little lounges where you can relax with friends Great for smokers too, they have a nice courtyard decked out with flowers in the summer months where you can puff to your hearts content (ex smoker 3 years and still in denial) The Hopmeister

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

The Prices being charged at this pub for a pint are now becoming obscene.
nothing has been spent on the building, toilets, or the grounds in twenty years there is always a good choice of ale but if you are happy to be ripped of then go for it

Nice friendly pub in lovely country surroundings classic early victorian type layout loads of parking, good food served in a homely type of lounge. now started to sell a real ale or two. try it.

The Coach and Horses, Castle Bromwich

Beautiful building that should be the best pub in Castle Bromwich ruined by a policy of being the local youth club for years. if you are over eighteen then you may be too old. Sadly misused this proud pub should be given a wide berth if you are old enough to vote!!

The Vine, West Bromwich

Fantastic.looks like a ordinary victorian local in an industrial area of west brom.but, step inside and you are into new boundarys. multi racial, happy, comfortable, value for money surroundings. always a guest beer available and the chicken tikka kebabs cooked on an open fire are a revelation! Ring to find out which nights are best for barbeque you wont be sorry.

The Farthings, Castle Bromwich

If you like a drink during the day and you want to watch the pennies then this is the place for you, nothing special beer wise but when the weathers ok plenty of outside seating. Older folks flock here during the day as it must be the best value for money pub in the area, good basic food served every day. Try it, The older lads told me its cheaper than their local social clubs!

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

Great Pub,always a great selection of ales and wines available. eggs and cheeses also for sale, food is available lunchtimes only. Evenings are a treat especially wintertimes as open woodburners are always on the go. Price of a pint here is heading toward London pricing why? but worth a visit.

The Church End Brewery Tap, Nuneaton

This really is different ! First of all the village is out of the way and the Pub on the corner The White Hart is worth a visit, real old fashioned pub just the way they used to be. However, the Churchend Brewery has been set up in what used to be an old social club, Its clinically clean light and bright, not really pub like at all. The grounds are lovely and the view looks out on to open fields. Inside the lounge the large glass viewing window allows you to see the brewing magic taking place. But the real reason for making the effort to find this gem is the beer!! I am familiar with their ales so i went straight for HOP GUN a very pale and tasty ale. you cannot fail to find a beer that you will like. Some events throughout the summer Car and Old motorbike shows may be even more of a reason to give it a try I believe they have a web site(google it) with forthcoming events. Check out the opening hours before you go as they dont open every day.
