The Foresters, Horley

Not a bad pub, although I wish they would let people know that they are holding a gay night so that customers can then decide if they want to leave before the whole place gets taken over with bottom enthusiasts. Good for watching sport on TV

Foleys, Acton

This pub is now closed and Acton is a poorer place following the closure of yet another backstreet pub. Where will it all end?

The Kings Arms, Acton

This is quite easily the best pub in Acton. All of the staff are extremely proffessional. The drinks and food are not only well presented but are not over priced. The choice of beers is very comprehensive and the menu, although limited, meets everyday requirements. Well done.

Ye Olde Six Bells, Horley

Is it a pub or a restaurant? The bar person seemed amazed that I only wanted a drink and that I would not be eating. Having finally established that I would not be eating on this occasion, my beer was plonked down in front of me. The beer was very good and not overpriced, as tends to happen in popular hostelries. I stayed for a couple of hours and decided that my initial feelings were misplaced and I was made to feel very welcome. Some of the clientele seemed to think they were a bit special.believe me your not. Overall it was a pleasant afternoon and I will definitely visit again next time I am in Horley

Whyte Harte Hotel, Bletchingley

I has been many years since I was last in this pub. Although the building has not changed the level of service was not as good as I remember when Derek King used to run it. The food was enjoyable, which was good after having to wait for ages. The drinks were well presented if a bit on the expensive side.

The George, Hammersmith

This is an excellent pub for watching sports events on TV as it has enough screens to make viewing easy from wherever you are sitting. The drinks and food are both well priced and well presented. The service was good and the staff extremely pleasant. The George is not trying to be something it is not, it is just a good pub, not like some of the others in the vicinity that are too numerous to mention. Some of the previous reviews seem a bit harsh to me. If you want trendy bars and gastro-pubs skip down the road to Notting Hill!
