The Teddington Arms, Teddington

Nice bar and lounge area with comfy sofas. Gets quite packed in evenings from 7pm. Drinks reasonable prices- main let down- menu awful for vegetarians- pubs usually cater brilliantly for non meat eaters but sadly not this one

The Bear, Esher

Drink prices are indeed extortionate as comment below states, bought a pint and a gin (single) and tonic and it came to over 8. The refurb was not to our liking wither, quite cheaply done, with the typical m trying to look like an interior designer by getting a vase and dumping some metal twigs in it and tad a- what a great design- not! It has no warmth or real character and we couldnt wait to leave. If drink prices came down- fine- but with drink prices as high as a top London cocktail bar in these surroundings- someones having a laugh.

Mortimer, Fitzrovia

I think these reviews are quite harshits perfect for after work drinks or a casual lunch. Food is good enough, range of beers on tap good and always a busteling full atmosphere- if its so bad why is it always packed with smiley happy people?!

The Fox and Grapes, Wimbledon Common

I love this place, so cozy and charming-one MAJOR downside is the total lack of consideration to non meat eaters on menu. Only 1 meal out of 11 is suitable for veggies and is the totally predictable and uninspiring- wait for it.. yup you guessed it- mushroom risotto with parmesan shavings! How often is this the only dish aimed at veggies.
When will restaurants (as most pubs now cater marvellously for veggies) realise that over 10% of Brits are full time strict veggies with around 250,000 per week going on trial /semi permanent non meat diets. To offer only 1 dish from a selection of 12 suitable for veggies is an insult and really ruined my perspective of this place.
