The Dog and Duck, Soho

Apparently recent changes in management at this pub have changed the atmosphere substantially, in my view for the worse. No longer is this pub one for a few pints and conversation. Instead loud music is constantly playing interspersed with adverts for club nights. The hand pump ale options are now minimal. Another good pub ruined.

The Crown and Anchor, Euston

Unfortunately this pub is now suffering from its popularity in that some of the staff are getting arrogant. One member of staff interrupted taking a food order to serve others without an apology - won't be back.

The Queens Head and Artichoke, Regents Park

Too pretentious for its own good. Myself and a freind were chucked off a table as we were only drinking beer and not eating, despite other tables in the "pub" being free. Someone needs to remind them what the concept of a pub is all about - drinking!

The Smugglers Tavern, Warren Street

Very odd refurbishment - can't quite put my finger on what is wrong but it seems very sterile. Looks like they ran out of money for seats and tables... Staff freindly enough but prices over the odds for the place it is.

The Prince of Wales Feathers, Warren Street

Awful place. Small, pokey and rammed. Last time I was there I waited over 15 mins to be served - gave up in the end and went somewhere else - won't be back.

The Northumberland Arms, Fitzrovia

Nice pub, unpretentious, just clean and tidy and welcoming. Would agree they sometimes need to address the lack of staff.

The Carpenters Arms, Tottenham Court Road

Food seemed ok to me - or at least the pie I had was a proper one, not a stew with a puff pastry lid. Was expensive tho and had to wait for ages. The main problem with this pub stems from the pretentious, rude, and arrogant staff. They should realise they are there to serve us, not treat customers like we are an inconvenience.

The Square Tavern, Euston

Unfortunately this pub has gone seriously downhill in recent months. I say unfortunately as it is the nearest pub to work for me. The slide downhill seems to have co-incided with the departure of the previous landlords and the closure of the nearby Sols Arms... go figure!

The Dickens Inn, Tower Hill

Over 8 for two drinks?! Tourists may not know they are being ripped off but Londoners do... won't be going there again...

The George, London Bridge

Atmosphere ok in the summer when you can get outside. The bar food from the hatch in the end bar is dire - the worst pub food you can imagine, served surlyly to tourists who don't know any better. The National Trust need to sort their tenants out otherwise this pub will wither on the vine
