Merry Christmas everyone, we are currently running an Xmas Ale festival with over 60 different seasonal Ales available up until Xmas Eve, including Tally Ho, and the special limited edition There is No Santa from Brewdog.

Have a healthy New Year and please be aware that we ARE NOT putting any of our prices up with the VAT increase in January, nor i February when all brewers are increasing wholesale costs!

Thought of the day:-

If you tell us when a product isn't up to scratch we can remove it immediately and not another person will have to suffer it. Vague comments on this forum help us not after the event!

Hi all and especially Mally, Craig here,
thanks for your comments, both positive and negative!

Apologies about the bike incident, a lot of them drink here and we dont like losing them either, particularly you!

As with anything in life if mistakes are made, we acknowlege them, learn from them, and dont make them again! Or at least I hope so, and have taken this issue on board and have held a staff training session accordingly!

I dont see your bikes as any different to a suitcase or other oversize item which we have happily stored safely in the past for customers. So if all you folding bike lovers can carry a luggage style tag for your bikes, or if you have specific identifying items, in future we will ask you if we can store them for you at busy times, which is generally nearly all day!

Mally please come back to me, I dont want to lose your custom and have worked hard for years just to make people like you and I happy with an ale oasis!

Hi all, Craig at The Bree Louise here,

Happy New Year to you all.

From 1st Jan with the VAT increase we are forced to put 10p on a pint, but the Camra, Student and Nurse 50p discount still applies. Our pies are also being discounted at 2 not 3, due to the Vat increase on everything, cost of produce, heat, light and power etc.

As for pick_e_tippler's comments about the food, apologies. Our chef was on holiday and the agency one obviously rubbish, I personally was on holiday, but still would have preferred you told a Manger at the time, we could have changed the agency the next day!

Please come and see me for a complimentary meal, I'll buy you a beer and have one with you too!

Regards to all

After an excellent afternoon at the Battersea Festival it was a pleasure to walk in to such a fantastic selection. Had a great beer and chat with Steve who owns the Wenlock, nice to see these guys that run great ale houses drinking together.

10 out of 10 for Dark Star Winter Solstice and Wolfs Granny wouldn't like it!

Back in the area Saturday and popped in, delighted to see 10 ales, 5 on gravity in plain view, during the height of summer( some summer)

Just about everyone, ladies and younger men, all drinking ale, this place is the new mecca for real ale around here.

I have been reliably informed they are going to 15 ales, 10 gravity by November!

tried all 5 gravity ales including a dark mild, all on top form though sadly 3 of them ran out while I was there!

Fantastic time in the Bree Louise Monday night, pub pleasantly busy with very mixed crowd and 10 ales available, from very diverse areas. The Wooden Hand and Itchen Valley ales were superb, but Theakstones OP on gravity was the star of the show. This Ale House is going from strength to strength

sadly all 5 ales on gravity went within the 1st hour we were there.( Doom Bar, Timmy T's Landlord, Harveys,Thwaites and Adnams Explorer!) That only left Danish Dinamite from Stonehenge Ales, Deuchars IPA, Elgoods Thin Ice, Adnams Bitter and KIng Alfreds on the handle, shame!! I had never known 3 of these!! We were a party of 8, and tried the lot, all were fantastic, but the gravity were the best until all sold out in this busy rugby pub. 40 p off of all ales for us Camra members too, shame, hic!!

The Bree looks fantastic and smells great! 10 ales available today 5 each of handle and gravity and some really differnt options, Adnams Old Ale and Yuletide, Cottage Goldrush, Sheps Tinsale, Batemans, Hydes and 4 I cant remember but they were great(I think hic!)
Apparently they have a mini scottish ale festival from friday for Burns night,

See you there

Had a beer at The Bree last night, Normans Conquest and Harveys absolutely fantastic. By the time I went for a 3rd refill both had gone, But Adnams Broadside had come on and was so good from the cask on the back bar I stayed to closing time! Very busy and ale flying out, I suggest you come early, particularly if you want a seat!
