The Golden Lion, Richmond

A small busy pub, three ales Hobgoblin, Hobgoblin Gold and Banks Bitter. I tried the Gold and a good pint it was, the landlady told me that the Gold was a rotation beer and that the other two the mainstay. This was the 4th pub I visited on my stay in Richmond that was under new management since my last visit to the town.

The Turf Hotel, Richmond

Popped in when out with my friend and his dog's, was asked to go into the other bar as food was being served in the lounge side. No problem, only us two and the dog's so had the bar to ourselves. TT again no bad, and you might have guessed under new management!

The Ship, Richmond

Popped in on a Saturday night. Live music on and very busy, I am led to believe that music is on most Sat nights. Tim T's again but not a bad drop. If out for a quiet drink on a Sat night forget it!

The Castle Tavern, Richmond

Yep another pub under new management. Had three ales on tried the local Richmond Brewery ale which was spot on. Seemed like a friendly compact pub. Will visit again when in the area.

The Black Lion, Richmond

Another of Ricmond pubs under new management since my last break up here. Two ales Black Sheep and Tim Taylors. Plumbed for TT and not that bad. Looks like two dinning areas downstairs and am led to believe a restaurant upstairs. Dog friendly bar side.

The Buck Inn, Richmond

When I visited, it was over the festive period and the rear bar was very busy, so dived into the small bar at the front. The only ale on was Black Sheep so gave that a wide berth. Looks like it's had a recent refurb. Had a quick scotch and left. Leave conclusions up too you!

The Unicorn Inn, Richmond

Under new management, and when I visited there was the choice of two cask ales. Both tip top. I was in on a lunchtime and it was quiet, but a few people started to drift in for food. Worth a quick visit when in Richmond!

The Bishop Blaize, Richmond

Cracking real ales, with Tim Taylors the regular. Got a bit busy the last time I visited but it was the Christmas period. Did not eat there but the food that came out looked good and good portions. Dog friendly in the bar. Will visit next time in Richmond!
