one of only two outlets that serve real ale in bangor, although this is about a mile from town centre in upmarket ballyholme.

The Moat Inn, Donaghadee

This is my local. Very friendly staff and welcoming customers. The craic in the public bar is unbelievable. I drink real ale and there is usually 2 whitewater beers on. Trevor the manager does his best to obtain interesting guest beers. A real gem with the bonus of ale which is not available in any other pubs in the town. The food is also highly recommended.

A must visit, easily acessed at the top of the town coming from newtownards/ bangor.
