The Nags Head, Belgravia

The landlord needs to step into the 21st century!

No wifi, no mobiles allowed, no laptops. Pints are watered down, the place is filthy and my 70 year old father on his first trip to London was asked to leave as they thought he was making too much noise.

A disgusting horrible pub that I would not recommend to anyone.

Also the toilets had faeceas all around the floor.

Should be shut down by Health and Safety.

The Mill Hill, Acton

Have not been in for 4 years but went in on my last visit to Acton. Long gone are the days where all my Australian friends would celebrate the end of the week with beer and pool on a Friday.

Was very quiet, a few guys watching football and that was about it. Beer is still the same, food was nice it just seemed strange to see it so quiet!

Pepper Saint Ontiod, Isle of Dogs

The puzzle was my closest pub for 4 years. Last time I went past it was shut but my last visit I went in and thought I was in an antiques store.

I love the way all the corners of the pub are set out differently. It's a new approach, the staff were very friendly. The only downer was the chef asleep on the couch.

Beer was good prices, food was very good value.

A huge improvement.

The Globe, London Bridge

Used to be a regular between 2006 and 2008. Popped back for the first time recently and it has undergone something of a downsize.

Lots of the furniture taken out (including the lovely old red sofa!), juke box gone and also it seemed darker.

Though many would find this a bad thing I actually thought it has improved. The old landlady has gone (thank goodness) and the new staff are making a real go of it with some live music nights.

Worth a visit.

The Kings Head, Acton

Great pub and I enjoyed the quiz night.

Lovely beer, a few guest ales and great bar staff.

The Lord Nelson, Old Kent Road

Popped down the OKR for the first time in a few years last month. Was sad to see so many pubs have been torn down or boarded up.

The Nelson is a brilliant pub with a real East End atmosphere and I still look forward to the long trek down some old haunts to have a pint in my first ever London local.

Still full of memories and I always see a smile.

A great pub.

The Moon on the Square, Feltham

Went in for the first recently since moving last year. Seems to be a lot more quiet than it was.

Nothing much has really changed. Also went to the Lion and that seemed better than before, not sure if anything has changed. If I am in the area again I will pop by.

The Moon on the Square, Feltham

Thought I would put in my two pennith. You may see that I left my first comment in Feb 2009 that was a month after I moved to Feltham, I left two months ago and thought I would update my reviews, especially after the comments below.

TMOTS is a Wetherspoons pub and in the time I was there I would visit 3-4 times a week. The pub is well run and the staff are friendly and effiecient. Although sometimes I did find several off the barstaff would server thier friends before those who have been waiting longer.

The cleanliness of the pub was decent, toilets were well maintained. food was your typical Wetherspoons, not Michelen star standard but fills the empty belly :)

The pub always had an excellent range of ales and that was purely the reason that I went back time and time again and they were always affordable.

In reply to the comments below. I will admit I did see my fair share of fights in the pub but they were nothing that any other High Street Pub does not experience on a daily basis. Also there were always one or two individuals that seemed to cause the trouble and my only concern is that time after time they were let in after being barred only to repeat the same problem.

It was a nice pub but one that I would feel uncomfortable taking my parents too at times.

It's a Wetherspoons pub and what you see is what you get. The ale is excellent, the food is of a good standard, the locals are friendly it's just the small miniority that taint this pubs possible potential and I hope upon my next visit they have gone.

If your visiting Feltham and want a good pint, decent meal and not far to walk then pop in and see for yourselves. If you want to watch the football, pay more for a pint but also want a seat then go to the Red Lion.

Both decent pubs in my opinion.

Thames Lodge, Staines

Nice little pub. Nothing special.

The Swan Inn, Staines

Pub is still open!

Had Sunday lunch their this weekend. Was wonderful food, open fires and the view of the river is amazing.

Great ales too!

The Phoenix, Staines

Not a nice pub. Popped in for a pint and there were youths fighting and police were wading in too!

Shame as it looks so nice,.

18 Feb 2009 14:52

The Garibaldi, Staines

I popped in here for a few drinks before getting the train home. Smallish pub but had some good regulars. Only thing that ruined it was the guy who was obviously high on Crack kept trying to sell me stolen goods.

The Hobgoblin, Staines

Love this pub! Its awesome!

18 Feb 2009 14:50

The Cock, Staines

Just not the same since Frank the barman left!

18 Feb 2009 14:49

The Red Lion, Feltham

Took my parents here as they helped me move down. Looked nice from the outside and also Sky Sports, good beers and a pool table.

What ruined the night was the kids in the corner who all seemed to have torretts. The language was foul.

May not bother goign back.

The Mansion, Feltham

Just popped into the pub as I have just moved here. Looks rather empty and spacious. Range of beers and spirits was minimal.

Could do with a bit more spice.

18 Feb 2009 14:47

The Moon on the Square, Feltham

The closest pub to where I live. Typical weatherspoons. Could do with more ale though and less lager.

The Spinnaker, Docklands

Been here a few times. Would not know it was a bar unless you walked past it. Food is ok, beers are ok, pool tables are always crowded.

I'll give it a 7. Not as good as the Puzzle but if it opened on weekends it would be better.

The Horn and Trumpet, Bristol

Its not too bad. Used to drink there years ago and still pop in if I am on my way to Bristol

23 Apr 2005 22:12

The Assize Courts, Bristol

Used to prefer it as Bar Oz

23 Apr 2005 22:10

The Mill Hill, Acton

Not too bad but can get very rowdy.

23 Apr 2005 22:09

The Duke of York, Victoria

Nice bar and service but can get crowded.

23 Apr 2005 22:07

The Stag, Victoria

I work close by and this bar is the Best in Victoria. Never a dull moment.

Always enjoy going there.

23 Apr 2005 22:06

The Rogue Trader, Canary Wharf

Very small bar but cannot argue with the food.

23 Apr 2005 22:03

The City Pride, Isle of Dogs

usually go here once a week. Not the most exciting of bars and pricey but does do good food.

23 Apr 2005 22:03

The Drummonds Bar, Canary Wharf

Been drinking here 3 years, drummonds was awful Never knew what to do with the place and the last manageress just sounded like she was high all the time.

Since the new management took over the atmosphere has improved tenfold, cheap drinks, cheap food and stunning views :)

23 Apr 2005 22:00

Pepper Saint Ontiod, Isle of Dogs

Lived here for 3 years and never used to rate this pub. But since new management took over its just got better. Really nice food and a great place to watch footy. Specially in the summer.

Only draw back is the toilets are upstairs!

23 Apr 2005 21:58

The Lord Nelson, Old Kent Road

Been drinking here since I lived in Trafalgar Avenue in 2001/2. May seem a little rough but I have never seen an ounce of trouble in there.

Cheap beer, well worth more than just a monopoly board kick off.

I really rate this pub.
