Javi thank you sooooooo much! The owners of the chain do not give us enough allowance on hours to employ more people in the week - although we do not need it mon, tues, weds nights. We can't just 'decide' to refurb, we need the say so and money!!!! I can't thank you enough. i think we do a great job for what it is @ the mo - enough people come at the weekend, so we can't be that bad.
Anyway, a traditional pub should be slightly grimey etc, thats what makes it a pub!!!
Javi point yourself out next time and i'll buy you a beer!!

mandraker - if you hate it that much I suggest you dont bother coming in.
Have you been to the bell, bulls head, red cross on monday, tuesday, wednesday night? I suggest you do, as they are also DEAD.
Feel free to volunteer to work upstairs on these nights though if you like, you could always clean the windows maybe? As you won't be serving anyone.
If you love the wetherspoons so much, I suggest you go to the sun in redhill. You can stick to the floor and everything in there..................

Do you know what - you lot are so sad. The management has now been changed, and I'm so sorry, but could you do our job on a packed saturday night???!! When there isnt enough of you on, and you people like you shouting obscenities at you, because you can't serve quick enough - I DOUBT it very much!
As for the toilet refurbishment, it took 3 days, not weeks.
The upstairs bar is only open on thursday, friday and sat nights, as it isn't big enough.
