I would rate The Star as one of the better pubs in Penzance.Nothing special to look at,but the meals were much better than you might expect and it's the best place to watch the footy.Can't comment on the beer quality as I always stuck to Strongbow in here.

If I lived in Penzance this would be my local.Tourist free (other than me) gem.Don't think it opens lunchtimes anymore.

Popped in here because it started raining.Had one pint of Strongbow and left as getting wet was preferable to remaining.Nothing good to say about the place I'm afraid.

Lamp and Whistle Inn, Penzance
Strange little pub just round the corner from the train station.Good selection of ales plus they do a fantastic 'blend your own' Bloody Mary on Sundays.Definately worth a look.

Lovely little pub a few hundred yards from the town centre,that still has a separate lounge and bar.Tried a couple of different ales and both were excellent.The home made meals are superb value.

Small friendly pub that's definately worth finding if you're not overly impressed with those in the town centre.
