The Anglers, Teddington

This is of course a great location but, like so many pubs that have that luck, they stop bothering. Beer is ok but the food is massively overpriced and very average with tiny portions. We had very disappointing meals and had to eat again when we got home. Service was also very very slow, nearly 40mins and 2 chases before our food came.
Shame really.

The Flagship, Dover

This is simply an excellent place to spend an evening.
It's the most hospitable place I've been in for as long as I can remember. Good beers, wine, food, bar snacks when you want them, music on the jukebox with every song you can think of and the service is the best ever.
We popped in there recently for one beer and couldn't leave, had such a good night we went back the next time we were in town and will always go there now we know it's there. Well worth it!

You HAVE to go there...

The New Inn, Ham

This used to be such an excellent place to go and have a few beers and meal of an evening.
However, I seem to be more and more disappointed every time I go there.
Went there for lunch last week, and the food was poorly prepared, nice enough menu, but not well done at all, and not good value at all. Sad, as I used to go there often, but it's just another mediocre pub now to me.
Sad, as it's a lovely place, and was brilliant until not so long ago. Hopefully the current people will move on soon.

The Priory Arms, Stockwell

This pub is the greatest I've come across in many years!

I went to Uni round the corner, and used to pop in every day. Excellent excellent beers, games to play, service the best ever, food good too.

Would recommend, despite it's location! Very warm and friendly!

The Boaters Inn, Kingston Upon Thames

Lovely location, which meant I kept trying the place out but TERRIBLE food and service which stopped me going back.

Beer average, I only went there because of the handy and beautiful location, but each time was more and more disappointed. On the last occasion, I even took the food back as it was only half cooked, and the cook was so rude it was unreal, showing me that they don't care, so I never went back. Having worked as a chef (and not in a pub!), I'm wary of possible cowboys to return!

Avoid the food but ok if you fancy a drink, and are easily pleased!
