The Black Horse, York

excellent pub. very traditional with low beams and open fires. plenty of beers to choose from. pub run by a delightful couple. well worth a visit.

The Blue Bell, Ormskirk

used to be my regular haunt when living in halsall. was heavily involved with darts and fishing clubs. always a friendly place with a good range of beers. good lunch time food as well. interesting sign as well. ( this bell hangs well and injures none, refresh yourself pay and carry on ).

The Lord Nelson, Scarborough

cracking pub. great for karaoke. always seems to be busy. make a point of visiting this pub when in scarborough.

definitly a locals pub this one. near impossible to get served if you're a stranger.

excellent pub. always a great atmosphere. can get packed when live football on ,especially for england matches.

haven't been in for years i'm afraid. but this is without doubt the best pub i ever visited. if you haven't been yet. WHY??.

The Kings Arms, York

not a favourite of mine. now has a very surly landlord. today york tomorrow the world type character. wont be back there in a hurry sorry to say .

The Kings Arms, Downholland

had many a pint in here. always found it a very friendly and happy pub. ( alan porter )
