Trying to be something they can't be.
Used to be an excellent pub for lunch and a few beers but now are tring to be something like a gastro pub. The have completely failed. They should have just done the lunch menu in the evening. Very dissapointing

Beer ok. Its a bit difficult to know where to drink though as the whole place seems to be a restaurant

Beer was ok but pub was very quiet and soulless when we were there. Probably quite a busy place in the summer

Not sure about these last two reviews. Always dubious of people who only ever review one place....
Too many kids (16/17 year olds) for my liking. Dirty place with filthy toilets

Decent landlord who serves in the pub, quite unusual in Looe. Staff don't listen to what you order and ask again and again. Not sure about the food.... and pub always seems quiet. However beer is ok. would score it higher if it had a bit of atmosphere

I agree that this is the best pub in Looe, but lets be realistic there aint a lot to beat..... very expensive and why do the owners let the bar staff do all the work ?

Easily the best pub in Padstow. Didn't eat here but food looked nice. Beer well kept and staff very friendly
