The Warren House Inn, Postbridge

Well I havnt been to this pub for 10 years now so we went last week and it is still as good as ever brilliant food and good beer and Peter the landlord is really friendly and a pleasure to talk too, I really do recommend this pub, it is right on the moors above post bridge so you need to drive or walk to it.
Exellent

Harbour Inn, Porthleven

Exellent, I have been in this
pub on and off over the summer, the food has always been good and the staff friendly, I like all the st austell ales but my favourite is the trellawny, it can be a bit busy at times and if you eat out on the harbour be very carefull of the gulls as I have seen them take one chaps gammon off his plate . Apart from that I would recomend this pub.

The Queens Arms, Breage

This pub has recentley been taken over by a new landlord and I have to say has somehow lost the friendly atmosphere that it used to have, there was a young barmaid who loved herself to much and the beer wasnt that good either....sad... but hay-ho it may pick up with time.

Rose Inn, Baxterley

I have been coming to this pub for years and it is in a loveley setting with the duck pond outside, it is a nice pub for a meal and the food is superb with meat supplied by the famous nuneaton butcher frank parker, they also have some nice kept beers the Tribute is always good and Sue and Tim the landlord and landlady are always helpfull.....Recomended

The Scales Inn, Lichfield

Not the most apealing of pubs but i pop in now and again for a couple of pints, i had a some nice hobgoblin in there last time i was in, the bar staff are friendly but it does lack some sort of spark but at least its still going.

The Ship At Cockwood, Cockwood

exellent pub with a good selection of ales and really good food that always seems to be red hot and well served, the only down side is if you want to eat the place is usually very busy but the staff are helpfull and will try and get you in somewhere.

The Godolphin Arms, Godolphin Cross

Interesting reading the comments, I found this pub to be very unfriendly, the locals look at you as if you shouldnt be there ! the beer was nothing special and the food awfull, I have tried it twice now and wouldnt recmend the place.

The Blake Barn, Four Oaks

Blakes barn is a typical managed foody pub, nothing special but not bad either, they do nice food although if they are busy i have known things not to be right, it can be quite busy at times, the beer is marstons and is generaly quite good, all in all not a bad place, oh and they do a two for one menu which in the present climate is always worth knowing about.

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

Yes the griffin is a little old fashioned but that gives it a nice charm, I have no connection with the pub other than being a regular but they do keep some nice ales and I personaly dont think they are over-priced, food isnt a strong point but 'hey' its not a foody pub if you want that you are in the wrong place! check out the griffins own ale called super bmw it is a wonderfull pint and they do some cracking local pork pies and cheeses for nibbles.

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

well once again I shall make a comment on the griffin, if you are a real ale drinker this pub is mecca, me and my mates come to this pub every wednesday night, I disagree with snarling_mallard, us regulars are not all about 70 ! and there are quite a few younger customers.

check out the griffin beer festival each year.

love the pub and the beer

The Dog Inn, Nether Whitacre

Been going to this pub off and on for years, nice beers and the landlady is pleasant enough....but its a bit drab and needs a bit of a revamp it does seem to be struggling these days although they are trying hard.

Go and have a look see what you think

The Queens Arms, Breage

what an exellent pub, well kept ales ie tribute and doombar, the food is out of this world all local produce and not megabucks either, the landlord and staff are really helpfull.... I make a point of going to this pub every time we are in cornwall.

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

I agree with phil, the griffin is a superb real ale pub that will take some beating, the landlord 'mike 'is really friendly and keeps some exelent ales, the griffin Black magic woman or BMW as it now seems to be known is superb, The list of exelent ales here is endless, Exmoor gold, Witches brew, Old hooky, Sarah hughes, Dune bah.......it just goes on......
Oh and check out the pork pies, and chilli chease.
