The Bugle, Hamble

Food is expensive but it's worth paying extra for good ingredients that have been cooked by a decent chef. Choice of beer is not extensive but the house wine is good. Gets busy and noisy in the sailing season - best time to come here is very early at lunchtime (or in the winter).

Pleasant pub serving reasonable food at reasonable prices. Service friendly and efficient. Decent beer.

Ye Olde White Hart, Hamble

Went for a drink Sunday evening about 8pm - drinking outside was impossible - boatloads of shouty sailors and local boozers competing to see who could make the most noise. After one rather expensive pint left and went to the King & Queen instead. Food has a good reputation locally, but it's expensive so we ate elsewhere.
