The Kings Head, Salisbury

a typical chain pub, full of people thinking they're international jetsetters, nusic tedious, the wait at the bar gives you an understanding of infinity (this might be because the place seens to be staffed by zombies). I would have to really loathe somebody to suggest they go there.

The Pheasant, Salisbury

Lovely little pub. I went there in the evening during the week when there was a nice mix of locals (mainly quite welcoming) and visitors. The beer was well kept. The background music was just that, in the background, the staff were efficient. I agree with what Moonlight said, a village pub in the middle of a city.
