The White Horse, Broom

The previous landlord of this pub left three weeks ago and it is now under new management. It has returned to its former self and drinkers are now welcomed back into this lovely country pub, now serving food to all and sundry and not just the 'middle class'.

The Cock is indeed still open. It was sold by the brewery and is now a free house, I'm told. I have not visited the Cock since the change but the beer was excellent during the interim period.

The Approach Tavern, Bethnal Green

Visited this pub for the first time last Friday and loved it! A real ale pub in the true tradition, away from the commercial parts of Bethnal Green. It was busy too, with a happy and lively crowd. I'll be there again as soon as the opportunity presents itself! Not many like this that I know of in London these days.

The White Horse, Broom

There has been a change of landlord in this pub. Drinkers are no longer welcome, so if you want a decent pint, go elsewhere! Plough at Langford is probably the best bet as the Cock in Broom will close in November 2012 when the present landlord retires.
